37th Annual Nürburgring 24-Hour Race
ORIENT Sponsored SUBARU Impreza STI
Finished Race 33rd Overall, 5th in Class.

Following this, the car was able to follow the race plan without making mistakes or getting pulled into any accidents, and by the 23rd hour the team was hot on the heels of the car ahead of it, building up momentum to overtake it. A penalty in the final stretch dashed any hopes of a sudden upset, but the 24th hour result was 9 laps up from the previous year's achievements, and the team managed to finish with a checkered flag.

Alongside the race staff our wristwatches were fighting all the way, enduring harsh environmental conditions for 24 hours to keep perfect time, displaying the endurance to cross the finish line right along with the car.

*Comment from STI General Manager of Vehicle Experiment Department and Team Director Hideharu Tatsumi:

We at STI are working to make a car that performs well on public roads, and on that extension of public roads, the Nürburgring circuit, we were able to test the performance of the technology we’ve developed and the people we’ve trained. I think it was well worth it. I think it’ll have a positive influence on our future work, and the fact that we were able to achieve 5th place in a class with the hard-hitting European car manufacturers is something to be proud of. Thanks to everyone for their support.
